Finding Windows Update 8.1 for Surface RT Pro

Since the final release of Windows 8.1 for Intel and RT was made public on October 17, many users had experienced a conflict between this advancement and their devices. Followed by this, Microsoft suspended the download until further notice.   • Repeat the above steps to check for additional updates. apply these and reboot again
  • Now press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run box
  • Type ms-windows-store:windowsupgrade in Run box and hit Enter
  • You will be directed to Windows Store displaying the download screen for Windows 8.1
  • Click Download button to get started. You will not be displayed with download to be active
  • To view the progress, press Windows key + R once again to open the Run box
  • Now type ms-windows-store:installprogress in the run box and hit Enter
  • This will bring up the Windows store with install progress screen displayed
  • It would surely take a long while as the download size is more than 3GB
  • Once completed, reboot your device with all new Windows 8.1

You can get back your applications and settings those in Windows 8, if you have already created a backup. In the Update and Recovery section of PC settings, refresh your device once for swift operations in the new Windows 8.1.
