Fixing Windows 8 Using Refresh and Reset Features

Fixing an error option in Windows, introduces first time in Windows XP in shape of Windows restore option. Then, it accompanies all farther operating systems. Recently launched Windows 8 came with great two navel features to fix PC error in an easiest manner. These two features are “refresh” and “reset.” You must be aware what these features are and how can we use them to get rid of errors.

Refresh

The word speaks itself that whenever PC feels like slowing down and does not work in an appropriate manner, it needs refresh. It is like a cup of coffee when after a long hard work you do not feel like doing anything and needs a refresh. This feature allows you to restore Windows setting to default mood. It does not delete Windows files and Windows Store apps, however, programs outside Windows Store app are deleted, and it will provide you a list of deleted programs. This list can be found on desktop. It will take 15 minutes to refresh and your PC will work smoothly.

Reset

There is always a reset button in any hardware, mostly probably in all programs as well. You must be aware that what happened when you press reset button, it go back to factory settings. Windows 8 also has a reset button, which can take you back to factory settings. Everything goes back to the time when you have purchased it. If you have chosen to reset, remember that your personal files, apps and other things will be gone away. It is like reinstalling of Windows 8.

How to use these buttons

Take precautionary notes before you use these buttons. You must have a Windows 8 bootable USB or CD/DVD. If you have downloaded ISO form internet then you need to burn it on CD or make a bootable USB. You can use Windows 8 image burn.

Once you have that USB or CD/DVD insert it in appropriate drive. Now go to Charm bar (Shortcut: Windows + C or Swipe on right side) and open “Settings.” Now you have to click on ‘Change PC Settings’ and click ‘General’. There, on right side you can see ‘refresh written as ‘Refresh your PC without affecting your files” and ‘reset’ as “Remove everything and reinstall Windows”. Click on ‘Get Started button of either option. Now you have to follow simple instructions and it will be fixed a chunk of time.

  1. Hey i hv hp pavilion and it is stuck on the bluescreen with please wait comment.I tried all ur methods bt the keys ain’t responding. Everytime i press a key the dots on please wait goes round and round.I bought my laptop just 9 months back.
